Famous festival in my country

One of famous festivals in Armenia is Vardavar. Vardavar happens in summer, July when it is very hot. Vardavar is also known as the Holiday of Water and is about splashing water to each other.
This festival comes from ancient Armenian legend and celebrates Astghik, the goddess of water, beauty, love and fertility.
On this day everyone splashes water to one another, we play Vardavar with friends in our yard. At the end of day no one comes home dry. It is the most funny and fun festival in Armenia.
